Breaking down clients' needs
Projekt Praga is an award-winning practice, specialising in public buildings' architecture. Despite the firm's successful resume, their outdated website failed to present recent projects, awards and professional publications. I have formed three key categories, which the new website needed to showcase.
As for most architectural practices, the key role of a website is to showcase an extensive database of projects. In this case, the project gallery needed to showcase almost forty projects. The key here was to design an intuitive CMS form for adding new projects and sort them by tags and categories.
The practices' projects has been awarded almost twenty times. This is a major benchmark which sets the firm apart from the completion. All these awards should be displayed on the new website.
Over the years, Projekt Praga's projects have been published in more than twenty Polish and international publications. The aim was to create a gallery of these publications, and - where possible - link to the external websites for visitors to be able to learn more.
Colour as a strong part of the practice's identity
What sets Projekt Praga's work apart from the competitors is a bold use of colour. Instead of creating another monochromatic, minimalist architectural portfolio, I decided to use architects' work to form a colour palette for the website.

Balanced layouts
Design balances between white-space-filled, clean, minimal sections and immersive full-screen imagery of the most important projects
Font selection
Selected font, Uncut Sans is a seemingly rational sans serif. Upon closer observation, its' many gentle quirks and characteristic features can be found. Similar duality can be observed in Projekt Praga's work.

Interaction through movement
The horizontal carousel is scroll activated, and invites users to explore more projects
Use of colour
Mobile navigation uses distinctive colours, inspired by the architects' work

Project library
Users can use category sorting to explore the architects's works
Composition
Each project's landing page is a composition of full-screen images, intertwined with curated galleries
